Traders in Tamil Nadu or elsewhere.

Ministry of Environment & Forest (MOEF)
has given TOR clearance to Set up
the Plant at Gummidipoondi near
Chennai. The Public Hearing was held on March 27, 2008. Final clearance from MOEF is aleady obtained.

Land required is 45 Acres and its
acquisition is complete.

M.N Dastur is the project
consultant who prepared Techno
Economic Feasibility Report and
floated competitive Global Tender
for major Equipments. Received
response from both by Indian and
Chinese Power Equipment suppliers.

State Bank of India consortium has
sanctioned loan for the project.

Captive Consumers of Kaveri Gas
Power expressed interest to buy
power and also ready to
contribute to the Equity required
for the project.

Power Trading Corporation of India (PTC)
has expressed interest to sell the
power from the Plant for a period of
Five Years to State Electricity
Boards located in Northern
and Western part of India at a very
attractive price.

The Tamilnadu Electricity Board
has conducted the necessary load
flow study and has given its
approval for the evacuation of the
power generated from the Plant.

A Contract is signed with Coal and Oil
Company DMCC, Dubai for supply of
Indonesian Coal.

Applied for coal linkage from
Talcher Coal Fields of Coal India
Limited for the Coal requirements.
The request will be considered in the
forthcoming meeting of the Ministry
of Coal.
